Emotional stress is known to be a cause of lupus flares, so it’s important to manage and reduce stress. Stress also has a direct effect on pain and can make it worse. Consider using deep breathing and relaxation techniques to help you relax. Stress can be reduced by exercising, eating healthier foods, getting enough rest and making time for yourself.
4. Find Support
In order to navigate the emotional tides of lupus, it can be extremely beneficial to seek support from others. This support can come through an online support group, a community group, a trusted friend or family member or a therapist. Get the support you need in order to talk openly about lupus and its Impact in your life.
