Butterfly Flight Nina Greene
Hello, my name is Nina Greene. This year I will have been diagnosed with lupus now for 16 years.
The hardest part of living with lupus I would have to say is the daily unknown. Today you feel halfway good and overdo it then tomorrow can’t get out of bed.
What have I learned? Wow that’s a good one heck I’m still learning because this disease changes everyday all day lol. So I’d have to say to just listen to my body and trust it, me more.
One piece of advice would be to always listen to your gut. Unfortunately with this illness sometimes people don’t always believe us, pay attention to our pain, write it off as nothing especially some doctors. So I would say no matter what go with your gut, if it tells you somethings wrong trust it.
What keeps me strong? That would have to be my family and faith without the two I’d be lost. I remember even on my bad day’s at the end of my day to pray and be grateful for even the pain because someone had it worse today and tomorrow is a new day. This illness is far beyond easy and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. However I’m grateful because everything happens for a reason it’s just up to us to locate the lesson and learn, use it. I would love to be able to share my experiences, story, help uplift my fellow lupus warriors. I had been a pharmacy tech since 2001 but because of lupus now awaiting disability. I’m a model, brand ambassador among several other things.
