Through the eyes and hearts of lupus warriors, we share stories that often go unseen. Stories of pain, resilience, and triumph! These butterflies may have been battered by the storm, but they continue to rise, wings open, ready to soar.

The Resilient Advocate
Timeka Griffin is currently the co-facilitator for the Lupus Kidney Care Support Group.
She is a dedicated health advocate who has been a Systemic Lupus and Lupus Nephritis thriver for over 30 years.
Having navigated the complexities of chronic illness with grit and persistence, and a wealth of personal insight into the patient experience, and long term disease management, she reached a major milestone in her journey as a kidney transplant recipient in June 2023.
Timeka uses her three decades of lived experience to inspire others and provide a first hand perspective on the power of endurance and the gift of organ donation.
Timeka resides in Charlotte NC, with her husband and two adult sons, the family that completes her world.
