Educate. Inspire. Encourage. Empower
A meditative walk involves focused walking. All across the globe, walking meditation is a popular kind of mindfulness meditation. Walking meditation, at its most basic, is just paying attention to your feet, your body, and the ground under you. It’s simple, needs no special equipment, and can be included into your daily routine.
The purpose of the meditative walk is for us to just appreciate our body as it sustains us through our lupus journey. To take time to feel how important it is to take care of our bodies and make time to add movement in our lives.
Walk with us twice in the month of May for lupus awareness month. Wear your lupus shirt or purple and take a 20-minute meditative walk. Can’t walk outside? Walk in place at home. Unable to walk? Just get some movement in your body while listening to our walk meditation. Local walk will take place at Crump Park in Glen Allen.
