Prednisone is a wonderful fast acting anti-inflammatory medication. It is typically used for different reasons including autoimmune disease, lung disease or kidney disease. Although it is a wonderful drug in the short term it can have long-term side effects.
The side effects include :
1️⃣ Drug induced diabetes
2️⃣ Glaucoma/cataracts
3️⃣ Weight gain or bloating
4️⃣ Mood irritability: anxiety, rarely psychosis, poor sleep
5️⃣ Osteoporosis
6️⃣ Infection
