Many don’t understand lupus until they hear the walk of a warrior. Flight of the Butterflies, Butterflies of Hope Warrior Stories is dedicated to sharing those stories in May for lupus awareness month.

My name is Jaclyn Crawford I first was diagnosed with lupus SLE in 2004 after becoming very ill. I hadn’t ever really been sick so it was a huge shock to myself and to my family. I am a survivor now of 17 years! I consider myself lucky and EXTREMELY blessed to still be here living my life despite this illness! One thing I have learned having lupus is this. one, your body is resilient, and two, staying positive and hopeful will help you more than any treatment plan in the world! I have been through alot with lupus and im sure theres more to come, but with God, my family, and my lupie family I feel confident I will continue to thrive in life despite of lupus! I just want to spread awareness and love one butterfly at a time! #muchlove #hopeful4acure2021
