My name is Ash and I am from South Africa. Diagnosed with lupus at 40 in 2015, my life changed in ways I never expected. The years that followed were filled with pain, fatigue, uncertainty, and battles that tested my strength every day. I faced struggles that many could not see, yet I kept fighting through every setback, flare, and challenge.
Through resilience, courage, and faith, I refused to let lupus define me. Today, I am still standing—stronger, wiser, and proof that even the hardest battles can be survived.
Even though my family don’t show any form of support, I gained support from my Lupus family, I am never alone.
I am a warrior and need to remind myself daily.
So with my moon face and aches and pains I will continue to fight with each and every breath I take.
