I was diagnosed with SLE, systemic lupus erythematosus February 2016 I’ve been conquering Lupus 11 years thus far. Since then, I’ve experienced some major declines in my health that I’m battling as of now. I’ve been very ill and sick everyday. During my current journey I’ve now developed generalized blistering .
Following my last discharge from the hospital, I noticed initial worsening of blistering though improvement on 5/14 following IVIG. However, over the weekend Continued to see new blisters, some of which have resolved. I’m currently on mycophenolate mofetil 750 mg BID and hydroxychloroquine 400 mg daily and s/p IV methylprednisolone and IVIG during hospitalization.
Differential diagnosis given prior pathology results and presentation includes bullous lupus vs mucous membrane pemphigoid vs bullous pemphigoid. My rheumatologists scheduled me recently.Sugar coating everything will not allow me to continue being transparent .
As I transition into my new diagnosis I will follow my treatment and be a better version of my new normal. As one of my supportives and I would say that my goal is to take it one day at a time and if I can’t it’s okay I’ll remain @fabulupus.
