Flight of the Butterflies is a lupus awareness campaign sharing stories of the brave lupus warriors. Many don’t understand lupus until they hear the walk of a warrior. Flight of the Butterflies is dedicated to sharing those stories in May for lupus awareness month.

A proud fighter Brian battles Lupus Nephritis in the only way he knows how, STRONG! Diagnosed in May of 2015 he continues to work hard in keeping healthy and staying strong with the help of his family as they support him on his journey.
Kari Herzberg supports her husband and states, “My husband is stage 5 lupus nephritis also has stage 3 kidney disease. He has had a very rough go. He lost 3.5 ft of small intestine caused by a blood clot. His kidneys have been as low as 4%. He is so tough! He has battled so hard to be here today.”
