May 8th Lupus Fact

There is no one test alone that can determine a lupus diagnosis. A positive test result from blood tests taken does not necessarily mean that you have lupus, nor does a negative blood test result mean that you do not have lupus. blood tests, family history and symptoms are used in determining a firm lupus diagnosis. The most common blood tests used to help determine lupus are ANA(Antinuclear Antibody), APLS(Antiphospholipid Antibodies), ANTI-sm, ANTI-dsNA,Anti-Ro(SSA) and Anti-La(SSB), CRP (c-reactive Protein), complement, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), CBC complete blood count and chemistry panel.

This is your eighth butterfly of hope.

We need awareness and a cure!
